A-Level Maths moves quickly and requires students to connect ideas, explain their reasoning and apply familiar methods in unfamiliar problems. The programme is designed for students aiming for grade B or higher who want consistent teaching, practice and feedback throughout Years 12 and 13.
Students are normally expected to have achieved at least grade 7 at GCSE Maths. AQA and Edexcel students learn together, with board-specific questions used whenever the assessment style or content differs.
Please note: A-Level Further Maths is not currently offered.
Year 12 establishes the foundations needed for the full A-Level. Lessons help students adjust to the greater pace and depth of the course while building secure understanding across pure mathematics, statistics and mechanics.
Year 12 students can normally join during the academic year, provided a place is available.

Students work through carefully selected questions and discuss their thinking so misconceptions can be identified.
The questions become more demanding as understanding develops, with board-specific practice included where needed.
Teaching and homework-support lessons are both taught live and are then recorded for students to view afterwards. An enrolled student can access recordings from the beginning of their current course, including lessons delivered before they joined.
If a student cannot attend a homework lesson, they can email the question numbers or topics they want help with. Those questions can still be addressed and the student can watch the recording afterwards.
Students receive a live teaching lesson every week during term time. During school holidays, tuition continues through the live or prerecorded provision shown below. Across the year, this provides approximately 42 live teaching weeks and 10 prerecorded weeks.

No tutor can guarantee a particular examination result. The programme is designed to help students build stronger understanding, improve the quality of their mathematical working and become more confident when applying ideas independently.
Regular homework, practice papers, recordings and half-termly parent calls provide several ways to identify difficulties and monitor progress over time.
